Wicked Stitchery

Wicked Stitchery was formed in 1997 in Boston, MA as a human sized
clothing design company. It was only after designer Brandon Wilkes
moved to Los Angeles in 1997 that he truly discovered the world of
fashion and soon after, Asian ball joint dolls.
Seven years as a wardrobe and costume designer in the City of Angels filled Wilkes’ resume with several major motion pictures, music videos and high end fashion houses working one on one with some of Hollywood’s biggest names including Warwick Davis (Star Wars, Harry Potter series), Robert Culp (Everybody Loves Raymond), rock personalities such as Ozzy Osbourne, Marilyn Manson, Outcast, Static-X and members of Hole creating clothing for their music videos and tours as well as a 1999 Emmy nomination for his work on AMC’s exclusive film “The Phantom Eye" directed by legendary sci-fi director Roger Corman.

Wicked Stitchery switched gears from humans to dolls in 2005 when Wilkes was introduced to Asian ball joint dolls. He instantly fell in love with the endless modification posibilities and modern clothing styles that surrounded the hobby. He began creating garments for Volks Super Dollfie and Delf Luts boys to pay for his first doll and hasn’t stopped since. Begining with exclusive sales on Ebay, he quickly expanded to BJD specific forums and the WS website. Brandon now lives in North Western Connecticut where his design studio is housed in an 18th century Victorian farm house. He now owns 9 BJDs and numerous fashion dolls of varied sizes. He recently began collecting the Robert Tonner Harry Potter series and has plans for another Volks boy in the near future.
Wilkes continues to create new designs for ball jointed dolls under the name “Wicked Stitchery” and enjoys updating his Deviant Art account with new illustrations in his free time.
